Hello,
On this rakshabandhan, we made very simple rakhis.
I am sure you can try these yourself too. Here, are the steps.
Simple Rakhi
Quite similar actually to our toddler activity.
1) We bought a packet of paper flowers.
2) We added a satin ribbon to it.
3) We made some paper mounts for the rakhis.
4) We made out packets for Aruja’s brothers and sent across the packets along with a paper photo frame.
I named each of her brothers and she chose which Rakhi she wanted to pack for him. So each rakhi was special.

Thank you Arun.
Very nice idea to make a rakhi at home with this technique. In Raksha bandhan rakhi plays an important role for both brothers and sisters. Hand made rakhis looks so cute.
Thank you Anup. Yes, Handmade rakhis do make a difference. They help the child spend his or her time in a fun way and also learn about an aspect of our Rakshabandhan festival.
