Hi there,
How many times do we go back to nature for the peace which eludes us in our daily routines?
Our holiday trips make us happier not because we have visited the malls or the urban, concrete, jungles but, because we have visited the backwaters or the beach or the farm or the forests or the woods or the mountains.
Nature makes us realize that there is so much to be thankful for. It refreshes and rejuvenates. It helps us listen to our own voice. A voice we do not listen to everyday. Only in those quiet moments with nature.
Hong Kong Park situated right in the middle of the big city, had such lovely little spots where I wanted to just sit on the bench and watch the world rush to its daily bread and butter and to its glamour and glitter.
To be truthful, I could not have done that for long either. We are not used to being still. Are we?
We watched the turtles swim in the large pond.
We believed they felt our presence as they came up on the rocks to say a hello. The goldfish and turtles were beautiful.
We roamed the park watching the flowers, trees and their leaves.
We enjoyed the multi-level playground. It was a completely padded and had six play platforms. The photo is not very good but, the park was very clean and had kids of different age groups here.
After play we headed to the Aviary. Unfortunately there was some maintenance activity going on and we could not visit the aviary. (Information: The Aviary has 600 birds from 90 different species.)
The park also has a museum of tea-ware but, we were tired and headed home. We plan to go back one day to check the museum, aviary and the foot reflexology garden path in the park.
The Christmas holidays are about to begin, if you haven’t been here yet, do visit the park and enjoy the day with your child.
Before we close, here are some beautiful lines.
See you soon with our next post.

Wow! it looks like a beautiful park – reminds me of Shinjuku park in Tokyo. Next time I visit Hong Kong, I’ll defintely visit this park. Thanks for sharing 🙂
