Hi,
So, we have already made crafts on:
Now are you ready for some colorful ROCKETS?
I first saw these on Martha Stewart website. However, I added some of my own ideas to it too because most of the time the exact materials are not available or you want to improvise on a great idea.
So, here’s what you will need:
- Pattern paper
- Tape
- Glue in that shape or something similar in shape
- Two sided origami papers
- Stickers
- shiny stars
- Jelly Sweets in a small plastic packet 🙂 (For what? That’s a surprise. Read on.)
- scissors
How to make it?
1. Roll the pattern paper around the glue stick and stick it with a cello tape.
2. This is how the roll would look.
3. Take the two way origami paper (I used a black and red paper).
Use a circular object to draw around and cut it. Then cut off one quarter of the circle as shown below.
Fold it into a mini hat to make the top of your rocket and tape it.
4. Take small strips of two way origami paper ( We used yellow and red) and cut the bottom half of that paper as shown below.
Thin strips but only cut half way. These are to make the tail of the rocket.
Keep some round stickers ready, some stars and some jelly sweets in a small plastic packet.
5. Now, use the strips of cut paper and tape them around the sweets.
Your rocket’s tail is ready now to be inserted into the bottom. 🙂
6. Add some sticker and stars to make your rocket look fab 🙂
Add the words, “Have a blast” or “zoom away” or anything that suits you.
Now, look how lovely they look. I really loved them and the fact that they have sweets makes them all the more creatively yummy.

Great idea! This is perfect for my son’s age- he can do most of it on his own.
Thanks so much. I wanted them to be simple 🙂 Glad you find them useful.
