Books are a uniquely portable magic – Stephen King
Hi all,
Books are a constant in the lives of very young children. Partly because you don’t want them to watch the TV 24×7, they may be too young to hold their attention for longer time periods with any activities AND simply because all of them love stories. Oh yes, it might also be because the parents love the books just as much as their children. As is the case with me. Well, this post is no review, no particular book & no particular author.
It’s a new picture series of posts where we are going to just have loads of pictures related to the theme and related to our life. If you would like to know more about any of these books, feel free to get back to us.
Of course, these are recommended from our end. I do believe that each child has a different liking on subjects, illustrations, form of writing and ease of understanding. Also, do not forget to read some of the reference links given below for more information on suitable books for young children.
Storybooks
Activity books
These have star stickers for kids, once they complete individual activity pages. Our kids love them.
Knowledge books
Before we stop, I would like to share some good reads of some other posts from ladies who love reading and imparting the love of books to their children.
Picking up books for your 0-3 year olds, check out what Falak has to say on momsters.

JUlia Donaldson’s Gruffalo is Aarya’s all -time favorite! Love all your selections. And thank you for sharing the workbook recommendations as well, I have been wanting to get these for Aarya for sometime too 🙂
I have been thinking about doing a 5 books- a -week feature on my blog, where I highlight 5 books – and these books are the only books we read trough the week ( I saw this idea on another blog, but that has been stopped).
You are most welcome. I am glad the pics help and less time to go through the entire list 🙂
Wow, I can’t seem to recollect my daughter was so little…..but I do know we had a whole lotta books! We still do and she loves to read. You are inculcating a habit in Gold. Bless you!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
