Hi Friends,
Along with the Pee safe product, I received a cute parrot hand sanitizer from Jungle magic.
My first encounter with a hand sanitizer
A hand sanitizer is something I had never heard of when I was a kid. Why as a kid, till quite recently. I first saw these during our trip to USA but, when the H1N1 flu had hit India, I think this product really got integrated into our indian lives.
My first reaction
Yucky, gooey stuff with a strong aroma! how can this clean hands.
My change of heart
When I was pregnant, I was really scared of infections. I did not want to welcome any complications. I was feeling so precious. This is the time I took utmost care. I started using sanitizers and by this time, I had learned using it the right way.
Using it the right way
When I used it first in my life, I had taken a rich amount of it. Thinking it was to be used like soap gel however, this is not so. You just need a drop of the stuff so that it does not feel yucky & gooey but evaporates quickly leaving dry and fragrant hands.
When to use it and when not to!
The sanitizer has to be used to disinfect and not to clean your muddy hands.
Kiddos, if you have paint on your hands, it is better to wash them with soap.
A sanitizer is a fad if you are going to use it for everything. It probably has some side effects like everything we use in too much quantity. Hence, make it a point to wash your hands whenever water and soap is available.
Sanitizers work great when you DO NOT have access to water or you have to make an extra effort which negates your going to the wash basin.
For example.:
-
On flights, if you have been served food, it is quite impossible to leave your seat to wash your hands.
-
In the park where your child has touched the sweet stray dogs or even your neighbour’s pet.
-
In crowded marriage halls or any such ceremonies, where you will be served food soon.
-
In buses and trains or even in a car while travelling. You are sure to munch something!
Precautions
For ages below three years, adult supervision is a necessity.
Teach the kids to take the right quantity in their palms so that it evaporates and does not leave a residue for a longer time.
People with sensitive skins should go about using it sparingly. In case of irritation discontinue.
In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Consult a doctor too.
Why we should carry a jungle magic sanitizer?
Exterminate those germs as they can lead to various diseases and infection.
It is in a solution form which evaporates and leaves a fragrance behind. Thus, less mess to deal with or clean up.
A cleanliness habit taught to your child now, will go a long way even when they do not have sanitizers.
The jungle magic sanitizer comes in cute shapes. Allow your child to show off their parrot or their dinosaurs when you want them to use their sanitizers and even share it with friends.
The price seems reasonable as you really need only a drop. Rupees 60 for 50 ml.
Hand sanitizers are to facilitate disinfecting hands & not as a substitute for hand washing. Keeping one handy always works. Especially as it comes in a very handy & cute bottle.
Where can you buy it?
It’s available in most of the medical and some general stores.
Online you can buy it from safetykart.
Improvements suggested by me
Smaller pocket-sized bottles.
The fragrance should not be overpowering but mild.
They should have options for people with sensitive skin. Maybe, a change in some contents??
Hope you have enjoyed this review. Now enjoy this cartoon from Redjawcartoons 🙂
