Hi there,

Remember our last post on DIY Rakhis – http://aspoonfulofideas.com/diy-rakhis-for-our-brothers-on-rakshabandhan

Well, it all started from the paper fan rakhis.

I just found the fans so fascinating.
In addition to that my daughter was playing with these clips.
She found them in the kitchen drawer and I guess, they were so colourful that she was attracted to them.
When I finally could get a hand on the clips (next day!), I already had my tray of card paper out and could not resist these.

They may not be super creations but Aruja was quite happy with these 🙂

Requirements –
Cardpaper Plain or printed
pipe cleaners
packet clips
googly eyes if required
some decorative pollens for the peacock’s head.

My favorite were the butterflies. I loved them. All shapes and colors and no glue 🙂 The clips could accomodate both the wings and the antennae.

And then there were some more.

It’s a bird, it’s a dragon fly, it’s a pea cock ( two pictures to show, how to coil the pipe cleaner to make a neck and head) AND a unique use and my most favorite – Aruja wearing the clips. It almost makes me wish she had two tiny bows 🙂

Hope you enjoyed these. If you try any, please let us know.

Love,
Poornima
