Hi kids,

Remember the home-made decorations and the shuttlecock santa made for last year’s party. No?

Well, here are the pictures as belowΒ and here is the post – Christmas birthday party

Also check if you have seen the other Christmas related posts this year – DIY Christmas decorations

Now, let’s make some very simple cards.

I had some patterned paper left over from last year and they had these circular holes in it.

Christmas tree card pattern paper

I decided to use it to make: photo cards.

What you will need: Patterned Christmas card paper, scissors, glue, glitter cello tape, circle cutter ( I used this last year to cut out the circles) and ribbon is optional.

Method:Β  So, basically, make cards so that these circles would come in the center of the card. Paste only the bottom sides such that you can insert a sheet of paper into your card. Cut out a contrasting colored card paper and insert into this to make a lovely card.

You can now, insert your own photos or a photo of the person you are sending this to. It’s like a simple photo frame.

Additionally, you can punch a hole above and add some satin ribbon so that you can even hang it on your Christmas tree or anywhere you want at home πŸ™‚

Variation: You can use plain card paper. The cut circles need not only be in the center.

Here are a few we made.

Bookmarks

From the patterned paper, we also made some bookmarks. Do you like them?

For the simple scrubber card:

What you will need: Green scrubber, patterned paper, scissors, red cello tape, felt pen

Another card with a ready-made tree decoration, using a scrubber & silver ribbon.

And finally the Christmas scene picture frame. I think the kids will like to have one of these in their rooms or at the door.

Ready to welcome Christmas?

The picture shows how to make it.

Hope you liked these cards and all.

Will you try them?

I am submitting this entry for the Artsy-Craftsy-Dec-2013 challenge.
