Hello everyone,
I hope you have been enjoying the holiday season. We have and we seem to be busier than usual 🙂
Here’s a new and a quick idea for you. Please do try it and you can even gift it.
What you will need:
A jute sheet
Some lovely thin strings
A paper punch
Scissors
A bottle of fragrance oil (used for diffuser) or you can even use perfume
Any added decorations –Â the paper hearts or the shiny stars
Method:
If you are good at drawing shapes, you can draw your own or like me, use templates. I have used here a Christmas tree template.
Cut the jute sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree.
Add strings for hanging and for decorations. Please refer pictures to see how the strings can be tied so that they do not come off. A cello tape does not gel with the jute sheet hence, best to tie up the strings.
Add more decoration details like the paper hearts or the shiny stars.
Add a drop of fragrance oil. Leave it out for sometime till it dries.
And voila! it’s ready. It’s your very own air freshener. Use it in your cupboards, drawers or in your car.
If the fragrance runs out, just add a drop of the fragrance oil again.
I hope you like this simple idea. I am going to make some more as soon as time permits. This time with different shapes 🙂
Wishing you a super-duper Christmas and a happy new year.
I am submitting this entry for the Artsy-Craftsy-Dec-2013 challenge.
Lots of love and thanks,
Poornima

Absolutely awesome idea! You cut out the jute so well, mine would be pathetic (I am really bad like that) 🙂 but I am pinning this for use here, absolutely going to do it…now if I can find a fragrance I really like – Lavender (I love it, I think ) 🙂
Hi, Thanks so much. I used lavender oil by Nyasa. Nyasa has good products (not too strong) and I found it in home shop section in shoppers stop 🙂
Thanks for the tip, Poornima. We have a SS nearby, so I will check it out next time we are there!
